Description:

Life Association of Relevant Churches (LARC) is a CMA (Christian and Missionary Alliance) association designed to produce leaders i.e. church planters, evangelists, etc., that plant life-giving churches throughout North America and wherever the Lord opens the door.  The organization is a training center as well as a resource center to which people come in for training and are sent out for multiplication. 

Distinctive:

LARC seeks to speak to the culture in its language by producing leaders and churches that are relevant in the centers they are posted.  When using the word “CENTERS” the implication is that as each church is planted it will become a multiplication center from which daughter churches are launched.  LARC is also unique in that it seeks to contextualize every church planted in the cities and areas where they are located. 

LARC governing board:

LARC operates under the guidance of a governing board. Board members include Pastor Troy Johnson serving as president and founder. Andre Wadsworth and Scott Adams will
serve as board members and other names will be forthcoming.

History:

In 1998 Pastor Troy Johnson and a team went into the inner city of Nashville, TN. and successfully planted a church. He then served on a team that planted a church in the university district of Nashville before becoming the lead pastor of the church. Soon after that, Andre Wadsworth was drafted by the Phoenix Cardinals, to play football. Having already developed a friendship with Pastor Troy and having a desire to start a church, in 2000 Desert Life Church was planted in Arizona. By 2003 Scott Adams, who was part of the campus ministry in Nashville, had moved to Scottsdale to be on staff at the church. In 2010 he moved to Texas to serve as the Lead Pastor of that church, a recent church plant of the Life Association of Relevant Churches.

Having been a part of the planting of these churches and others like them in Denver, CO, Mexico City, Mexico, and Tempe, AZ, Pastor Troy, Andre, and Pastor Scott believe they have a mandate to plant churches wherever the Lord gives them an opportunity. It is for this reason that the Life Association of Relevant Churches was established in 2010. These three men now serve on the governing board of Life Association of Relevant Churches. Along with a dedicated team, they believe there will be many more churches planted in the future.
